The moment I saw the whimsical design of this on the website, I knew I had to have it. It's lovely and exactly what you'd expect from the pictures. The UD symbol is raised and embossed over the imprinted image, which looks ultra sleek and pretty. I love that UD is giving a slightly cheaper option without the extra eyeshadow. Now it really does feel like I can customize my palette completely. It's built just like the other BYOPs in that it's sturdy and the shadows are easy to pop in and out. The only draw back is that if you weren't a fan of the slight flimsiness of the lid and want it to stand up on its own when opened, this is more like the other ones where it doesn't do that. Personally, I don't mind using one hand to hold it open, though. All and all I love it!
Pros sturdy, gorgeous design, completely customizable, sleek, fun, affordable, large mirror, easy to use
Cons lid a little flimsy & doesn't stay open on its own
Yes, I recommend this product.

I have tried quite a few primers for eyeshadow, and I've got to say the original is hands down the best. There's a reason it's got such a cult following. My eyeshadow always pops the most when using this. It also creates a smooth surface so your eyeshadow doesn't look cakey or crepey, nor does it crease throughout the day. I also find that it lasts longer than most primers. I have ridiculously oily lids and deep sockets. Eyeshadow tends to melt off--literally--if I don't use a good primer. There are a couple different ones I've tried and that I like, but the original UDPP is the ONE for me. I only wish it somehow allowed my shadow to stick better in my socket line area, so when I close my eyes the shadow is still there. But I doubt anything could do that and it's really not that important, as long as the parts of my lids that are always showing stay in tact. Great product, UD! I love the new packaging, by the way! You get so much product for your money. Don't let the initial sticker shock steer you away!
Unfortunately, I do have to say that I've tried Eden, since I was hoping it would be better for my oily lids. It's definitely not right for me and I need to figure out what I'm going to do with it. It doesn't last as long and doesn't make my shadows stand out as much as I'd like. I'll stick to the original.
Pros Long Lasting, doesn't fade, makes colors pop, creates smooth surface, good value, good for oily lids, new packaging is excellent, prevents creasing
Cons nothing i can think of
Yes, I recommend this product.

This may sound odd or forced, but in all honesty this palette has a sentimental place in my heart. I didn't get into makeup until I was in my early 20s and was incredibly shy about using it, especially eyeshadow. I remember going into Ulta several times, getting overwhelmed and leaving, only to come back again to search. I definitely recall Urban Decay standing out to me the most. I loved their unique flair and bright colors. The Deluxe Palette I was drawn to a lot because of the amazingly bright colors and "odd" combinations. I also noticed that the individual colors that came in the palette too were more expensive if purchased separately, so this seemed like a good deal. After about the third or fourth time admiring this palette and swatching it, I caved and bought it. Very glad I did! I took it home, ripped it open and started swiping it all over the place. I was a mess but in love with the shadows. I was amazed by the quality of them off the bat. They were soft, smooth, bright and pretty. I even bought one for my sister for Christmas that year (she was also starting to get into makeup) and she loved it too.
I got better at using this palette with practice and nearly hit pan on my original not too long ago. That's how much I love it! Seeing it on sale for so low (at the time $19, but still a steal) I just had to get a new one in case UD decided to discontinue. I can't say enough how great and vibrant the colors are. I have a feeling UD is going to discontinue this one, which in truth makes me sad even though I understand. I mean, sure, it doesn't have the newer formula (which is amazing) and they're older colors, but I think older to even brand new UD fans would agree that this is still a good to great palette. It definitely made me a UD fan for life! I think it's worth picking up, especially at only $16. Old definitely doesn't equate to bad. I don't think you'd regret adding this one to your collection.
Pros vibrant colors, Gorgeous, fun, Blendable, soft and smooth texture, great value
Cons honestly none i can think of
Yes, I recommend this product.

I had to have this palette because 1) the gorgeous embossed tin with the butterfly and 2) the color Money. Overall, it's a solid palette for me.
First off, the pros. All the colors are lovely and I like how unique the combinations are. You get cool to warm, and neutral to smokey to bold. It's a fun palette. I don't think one color is a dud. Most of the shades blend like a dream. I'm also extremely glad that Money is in this palette. I love this color so much, I'm hoping UD makes it permanent!
Unfortunately, there are cons to this, which is why it's not 5 stars for me. The tin is a little obnoxious to open. It sometimes gets stuck and I have to pry it. I've dropped my palette a few times and of course squealed in fear that I ruined it, but thankfully the shadows are fine. Next is just how small the shadows are. If they were round, they would be the size of a dime. I think the original price was a bit expensive for this palette because of that. The only reason I bought a backup was when I saw it here for $19--definitely a deal for that amount! Moreover, the color Spotlight, although lovely, gets a bit chunky and isn't the easiest to blend sometimes compared to the others.
All in all, a solid, cute and fun palette. I like it. I think it's worth obtaining now that it's so cheap.
Pros Gorgeous, Blendable, Great Colors, fun, versatile
Cons small, tin is difficult, wouldn't recommend at original price
Yes, I recommend this product.

To be warned, I am definitely an Urban Decay eyeshadow STAN (Stan = crazed super fan, derived from Eminem's song Stan), so this is nothing short of a biased review. :P
They are hands down the best eyeshadow around for me. They were actually my first eyeshadow (The Deluxe palette) and I have been in love ever since. The colors are extremely pigmented and blendable. I get so many compliments when I wear their shadows. I also don't feel like other brands I've tried (even Mac) really compare. The old formula was great, but I've gotta say, the new one is just amazing. Super buttery and soft. I've noticed the glitter fallout is less severe and that was my main--actually only--criticism of the older formula for some of the shadows. I bought the BYOP from Sephora along with Loaded, and it's seriously like falling in love all over again. You don't think something you love could get better, yet it does!
The only thing is, considering the price, I don't have a need to rebuild what I already have with the newer formula. I even find myself more enticed to buy the old eyeshadows if and when they're on sale (like Ecstasy and Mildew) because the quality of those are still great. However, for the colors that I don't already have, or if I have hit pan on older ones and want to rebuy them, the new formula is worth it for me, even at full price. Keep up the good work, UD!
Pros Blendable, gorgeous colors, variety, buttery and soft texture, new formula has less fallout, very pigmented
Cons not the most budget friendly, would still buy old formula if a lot cheaper, palettes are a better value
Yes, I recommend this product.

...to use for the rest of my life, this would be it. It's absolutely flawless. All shades coordinate well together and you get a mix of neutrals and smokey looks. I love how many combinations you can create with this palette. The colors blend beautifully and really pop on the eye. I know a lot of people say this is "too warm," but really, warm tones can look gorgeous on cool toned ladies too. I truly don't have a bad thing to say about this palette. I am grateful it's not limited edition so I can buy a new one once I inevitably hit pan on most of the shadows. I even like the velvety exterior despite the fact that it can get a little dirty and the lettering is starting to rub off. I think it's because of the magnetic closing, your ability to bend it back, and it still manages to look sleek. This is an A+++ palette that I think should be in everyone's collection, even if you already have a ton of eyeshadow, are loyal to a different brand, or just want one good palette that fits all your needs.
Pros everything
Cons none
Yes, I recommend this product.

More and more I've been going with foundations that are subtle on the skin. I don't like full coverage ones because they can be overly matte and cakey looking. It's just sometimes difficult to find a lightweight foundation that evens skin tone, takes away redness and neutralizes pores. I think this foundation does fairly well on those fronts. When I first got it, I decided to test it to see how effective it is on its own instead of using concealer first. I noticed right away that it neutralized redness and for the most part my pores. You still need concealer if you have a lot of problem areas, but I was impressed with what it did take away from. It also gave a more glowy appearance to my skin, albeit perhaps being a little light for my tone. I'm light with a yellow/golden undertone, so I chose shade 3.0. I do think it's a tad bit light for my tone, but it's nothing super noticeable and that couldn't be fixed by adding blush and bronzer (both of which I do anyway). And I do find because of the glow it doesn't make me look washed out. I like that you can barely feel it once it's on and it's buildable without looking like you've slapped a lot of product on your face. This foundation actually reminds me a lot of a former HG foundation I found a while ago that was unfortunately discontinued. </3 The main difference is that one was much cheaper. I am not complaining about the price, though. UD is a mid-high end brand and you get what you pay for. My only complaints are I noticed that toward the end of the day it starts to settle a bit in my pores. It doesn't make them noticeable to others, but I notice when looking in the mirror. I also tend to get shiny after most of the day, but then again a lot of foundations fade out a bit in oily areas. Other than that, it's a good product. You get a lot of foundation for the price.
Pros Lightweight, gives a glow, neutralizes redness, neutralizes pores, evens skin tone, looks natural, provides options for women of color
Cons may not be best for oily skin on its own, coverage not best for very long days
Yes, I recommend this product.

I have been using both palettes non stop since I bought them. Both are well coordinated and fit a variety of skin tones/styles. The Theodora may be the most flattering all around due to its more subtle, earth toned colors. I can see very pale to extremely deep toned people using this. For those that think it would be too warm for their skin tone, Bewitch is a cooler or more neutral brown, the Jealous duo and the lightest shade--Broken--would work well with and cool and warm. (Don't forget that even if you just want a few shadows, it's still cost effective to buy the palette considering how expensive they are separately.) I also don't think people should exclude colors just because they may be cool toned and the colors are warm, and vise versa. Contrasting tones can really pop and look gorgeous. You just need the confidence to wear them.
I love how both can be used to create an every day/work appropriate look, a more fun look, and a smokey look. Glinda looks super pastel and Theodora more neutral or smokey, but really, both can be all of the above. There are two darker/smokey shadows--Tornado and South--in Glinda to give you a deeper look. Most colors in that palette would also look great as a wash of color over the lids for a subtle look, or combined in different ways to amp your look up. The Theodora's greens add a wow factor to your typical earthy/smokey look. I thought Glinda was my favorite at first, but I am equally in love with both now that I've really played around with them.
I may be rambling at this point, but these are great palettes. My favorite part is how they're just like the build your own palette system, so these palettes won't go to waste when you finish certain colors. To add, a lot of people have pointed out that some colors are similar to other UD shades. That could be a pro or a con for some people, but I actually like that so I can easily restock some of my favorite shades from the palettes. My only criticism is I've noticed that sometimes the shadows pop up a bit. I've had to rearrange them in order to stop them from popping back up. The inside of the palettes could use a little more work. But the palette is still sturdy. The outside closes shut and I don't see my shadows breaking if I had to travel with them.
All in all, another great palette from UD. I almost didn't get these, but I am super glad I did. Definitely worth the money and I am looking forward to future palettes like these from UD.
Pros good value, Great Colors, Blendable, versatile, fun, universally flattering
Cons shadows can pop out
Yes, I recommend this product.

rebound Palette

Hello could you please tell me which shadows fit the rebound empty pans case.
the information given with them is very scant!
As you carry eyeshadows in different shaped pans a little more information on your site about these . would be helpful for all potential customers.
Kind regards.
Niki
I don't know what TeamUD is talking about... I've had NO problem depotting and putting vintage shadows into my BYOPs... it's just not as simple and may be a bit snug in fit. But it's certainly doable and works great! The deluxe shadows definitely won't fit, though.
